TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
Successfully surviving a name change from Kate and the Retreads to KATE JAMES AND LOST COUNTRY was a fairly seamless transition for this feisty outfit. Good, sweet early-morning country, James and the boys -- all seasoned vets -- make the livin' easy with a cowboy hat full of catchy tunes. Released in May, HomeWrecker, HeartBreaker, the band's debut release, is a late '60s/early '70s-inspired take on genteel country music, with a modern twist. "Country doesn't pretend to say something by saying something else," says James. Sing out, Sister Kate.
