TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
MOGWAI hits up the Variety Playhouse in support of its latest full-length, The Hawk Is Howling. The Scottish quintet is well-known for its formulaic post-rock approach to songcrafting, which often includes lengthy instrumentals and a low dose of vocals – best not muddy the musical waters. Fuck Buttons open. $18-$20. 8:30 p.m. Variety Playhouse, 1099 Euclid Ave. 404-524-7354. www.variety-playhouse.com.

RE: Mogwai
Here is (my) show report from the LA show last week...
Both bands, Solid! Articulate. Loud. The kinda loud you wish you could produce if you didn't have neighbors. The music: this euphoric drone of Shoegaze, Goth tinged Wall Of Sound takes you places...wherever it does take you, bring your earplugs!
Go See!
