TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
The SISTERS OF MERCY haven't released any new material since 1993, but that hasn't stopped the group's frontman and only original member, Andrew Eldritch, from touring the States from time to time. In the '80s, the noisy, post-punk, black-clad Brits were the poster boys for disaffected goths who wanted more bite than the Cure, the Smiths and Siouxsie. These days the Sisters are more mysterious than ever. With no word of any new recordings in sight, the group teases fans, performing handfuls of new songs that have yet to be documented. For their show Tues., NOV. 11, expect to hear the classics, revamped and interspersed with some all-new songs. $30. 8 p.m. Variety Playhouse, 1099 Euclid Ave. 404-524-7354. www.variety-playhouse.com.
