In the new national mood of unity over division, it seems only fitting that the Mattress Factory Studios would partner with a relatively new outfit known as the Unity Project to bring you this year's FALL OPEN STUDIOS. On Sat., NOV. 15, the gritty intown warehouse space showcases the independent art-making tradition that's been going on continuously for more than 25 years with a wide variety of painting, sculpture and installation work. The Unity Project's ultra-democratic premise dictates that no single artist is as important as a community of artists, so plan to stay awhile for everything the place has to offer. Free.
