Special event: Downhill Soapbox Challenge

Spectators and racers can relish the sweet, country-meadow freshness of hay bales instead of Atlanta's traffic-induced, notoriously noxious fumes at this year's ATLANTA DOWNHILL SOAPBOX CHALLENGE. The third annual soapbox derby Sat., NOV. 15, celebrates the glory of gravity with nonmotorized vehicles racing downhill for first place. Though it's too late to enter the derby, spectators can cheer on 68 fellow Atlantans in their pursuits of victory. Indie rock sounds provided by All Get Out, the Hollywood Kills, Snowden and more.
