Theater: The Santaland Diaries

Fri., Nov. 28

Horizon Theatre Company

Self-deprecating, deadpan humorist David Sedaris is a boon to America's contemporary theater scene. His most well-known short piece of fiction, THE SANTALAND DIARIES, is a post-modern critique of the Christmas consumer culture that laughingly substitutes the traditional with its own flavor of misanthropic jocularity. Opening its 10th year at Horizon Theatre Fri., NOV. 28, this NPR broadcast-that-could shines as this year's milestone potboiler to remember. Cast members Harold M. Leaver, Enoch King and Marci Millard all reprise their roles. Directed by Jeff Adler. Through Jan. 4. $25-$100. Tues.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 8:30 p.m.; Sun., 6 p.m. 1083 Austin Ave. 404-584-7450. www.horizontheatre.com.
