Usually the three wise men add the only touch of diversity to the average nativity pageant, but True Colors Theater Company's BLACK NATIVITY offers an abundance of multicultural expression, continuing Tues., DEC. 23. First performed in 1961, poet Langston Hughes retells the nativity story from Bethlehem to Harlem, drawing on musical touchstones from African drums to gospel songs. Patdro Harris choreographs and directs True Colors' production, which features musical direction from JMichael. Through Dec. 31. $20-$35.
