Fifth grade students at The Study Hall, a non-for-profit afterschool program, took cameras out to document their Peoplestown, Southeast Atlanta neighborhood.
After a brief lesson in photography, the students were given cameras and told simply to open their eyes to what was around them -- and shoot. Their innocence let them work without confrontation. Their familiarity with their surroundings provide us with an intimate look at an inner-city neighborhood.
