Like New York's beloved TKTS discounted ticket service, AtlanTIX discounts performance tickets on the day of show only and quantities are limited. But you also can buy half-priced tickets to attractions such as Zoo Atlanta for the following day.
Tickets must be purchased in person at one of two AtlanTIX booths. One is in Underground Atlanta, the other at Lenox Square. Cash, credit cards and travelers checks are accepted.
The Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts, which manages AtlanTIX, also maintains an e-mail group that informs members which tickets will be available the next day. Visit www.atlantaperforms.com/join_us/email.asp to sign up.
AtlanTIX is located in the Visitor's Center at Underground Atlanta, corner of Upper Alabama and Pryor streets, and the Simon Guest Services Booth on the main level of Lenox Square. Tues.-Sat., 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun., noon-4 p.m. 678-318-1400. www.atlantaperforms.com/we_provide/atlantix.asp.
