Promoter/Designer/DJEvery Wednesday night, DeNiro and DJ Presto present Caf&233; Confidential, a genre-less DJ night where he plays vinyl at 45 RPMs. He explains to CL why his signatures have become exactly that:

1) "Hard to Handle" - Otis Redding: "After the Black Crowes' 1990 rework, this became an ATL floor-banger."

2) "Throw That Dick" - 2 Live Crew: "The original crunk song. Believe it or not, this tune still packs the floor and gets things jumping - past, present and future. I'll play this at home, at church, at work, where ever. Being from Miami, this is completely essential."

3) Anything from the FANIA Records catalog 1967-1978/CD or LP: "Fania Records was a label from the '60s that represented Latin music in the proper fashion waaaay before Shakira and Ricky Martin even knew they were Latin."

4) The Triple P - The Platinum Pied Pipers: "My new theme music - a top to bottom banger from Slum Village producer Waajeed. Mature quality boom-bap."

5) Birtha/Can't Stop The Madness - Birtha: "A year ago, one of my secret spots yielded what some crate diggers like to call a grail.' A grail is a record that's so rare that you have to stop and thank the acetate gods who let you happen upon such a find. Such was the case with this lesbian rock band from the '70s. The babes from Birtha didn't play games."
