I'm tired of lying about my adulterous friends

The Karma Cleanser strongly believes that your so-called "gut" reaction is worth listening to. In this case, your conscience is telling you that you think what you're seeing is wrong. Rather than trying to dictate who your girlfriend hangs out with, focus instead on yourself. There's no need to lie about your feelings, but drop the passive-aggressive name game and politely excuse yourself from the situation.
Dear Karma Cleanser:
You gave bad karma concerning the telephone issues between two roommates ("Someone's Always Listening," Feb. 13). To me, if the bills are paid equally, then the phone time also should be respected and used accordingly. Why should one spend extra money on a cell phone? The impolite user is the one who should be told to get off the phone and get on the cell phone.

Interesting insight, W&F. Since the impolite roommate obviously had no intention of ceding her landline, we meant to suggest that the slighted party bail from the phone service agreement altogether and seek greener dial tones elsewhere. Sorry if that got lost in translation; perhaps we had a bad connection.
Dear Karma Cleanser:
We read your column every week and usually have a laugh or two over the crazy shit people do. But I'll have to say that you gave really shitty advice to "Bad Vibes," (Feb. 6), the woman who said she sends out a bad aura and always has had bad luck. Some people are born to suck. They just have to get used to it.

Interesting insight, TVM. We suspect that you've proven your own point.
