I played with the Atlanta Heat for almost 10 years, before we even started backing Poppa. I played guitar and did backing vocals. Along with Ron Kent and John Thompson, we were Poppas band until J.T.'s folks past and he moved back to Pennsylvania.
He is the finest vocalist I have ever heard.
