I'm a frequent visitor to the Atlanta area from my home in NC where we have an excellent NPR station WUNC. Its very frustrating not to hear Diane rehm in the morning and all the other day programs. I actually schedule my returns so I'm back home in time for my favorite Friday news roundup with Diane Rehm. I would back any efforts to introduce regular NPR programming in Atlanta instead of the classical music. I'm convinced that if Atlanta residents knew what they were missing there would be a whole lot more clamouring for regular NPR programs during the day. Radio is downright boring here and I leave my portable at home while elsewhere in the country, I have an earpiece and portable radio on my belt, so I don't miss any of the excellent programming the rest of Americans are enjoying.
