Benefit: Taste & Tour of Cheshire Bridge

Tues.-Thurs., July 21-23

Atlanta's most peculiar plot of pavement takes a surprising turn toward family-friendly for the TASTE & TOUR OF CHESHIRE BRIDGE. Though probably best-known for its breathtaking selection of adult-themed novelty stores and seedy strip clubs, Cheshire Bridge Road totally redeems itself with G-rated tastings and highbrow tapas from restaurants including Alfredo's, the Colonnade, Nakato Japanese Restaurant and Woodfire Grille, while other businesses offer product samples, discounts and exhibits. A trolley will run along the quirky corridor to drop patrons off at several stops – with an emphasis on the wholesome businesses, of course. Proceeds benefit Open Hand Atlanta, a nonprofit serving nutritional needs through programs for people living with HIV/AIDS, the homebound and critically ill, and senior citizens. Free-$30. Tues.-Thurs., 6-10 p.m. See website for locations. www.tourofcheshirebridge.blogspot.com.
