The BLACK BOX IMPROV FESTIVAL touts some 200 performers on Georgia Tech's campus in the city's largest improv comedy festival. Broken down into workshops and shows consisting of three performance groups each, the fest includes national acts and local troupes such as Automatic Theatre, the Basement Theatre, Dad's Garage Theatre Company, JaCKPie Theatre Workshop, Laughing Matters and Village Theatre. The locals vie for bragging rights as they face off in the Black Box Improv Tournament finals this weekend, while out-of-towners – New York's Upright Citizens Brigade and San Francisco's Improv Playhouse and the Naked Stage – seal the deal in the festival's grand finale, the Big Show. $10-$20. See website for times and locations. blackboximprov.com.
