TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
The Atlanta Film Festival celebrates the 20th anniversary of Spike Lee's epithet-hurtling, "Fight the Power"-playing, trash can-throwing landmark film Do the Right Thing as part of the COCA-COLA FILM FESTIVAL. The bracing portrayal of urban racial tensions helped launch the careers of the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Bill Nunn, John Turturro, Rosie Perez, Public Enemy and Lee himself as a zeitgeist-defining filmmaker. The director (who also plays young everyman Mookie) will take part in a post-film Q&A. See website for more details on the Coca-Cola Film Festival schedule. $8. 8 p.m. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. 404-817-8700. www.foxtheatre.org.
