You'd think a busybody like Alton Brown – author, Bon Appetit contributor, kitchen-gear MacGyver, and host of regular Food Network gigs "Good Eats," "Iron Chef America" and "Feasting on Asphalt" – wouldn't have time to kick it here in his hometown, but you'd be wrong. Brown takes a detour from the lush foodie porn often championed on cooking shows to geek out on the science behind foodstuffs. Tweedy, bespectacled Brown teams up with fellow tweedy, bespectacled Food Networker Ted Allen for GOOD EATS LIVE, a variety show that celebrates the program's 10th anniversary.
