If you look closely at the propaganda pics of this rally, you'll see the true purpose; the abolition of the death penalty. The cute little pins say "Campaign to end the death penalty". I guess that includes the executions of murderers that are guilty beyond any doubt such as thugs on store video systems killing for a few dollars. The death penalty is not about 'government sponsored murder', but rather about the state assuring the public safety by removing the threat forever. Murderers sent to prison for life are an escape risk and also prey upon the inmates locked up for non-violent offenses. That means the majority of people of color in prison for drug possession/dealing. All predatory criminals-murderers, rapists, child molesters, armed robbers, etc.-should be executed with very little grounds for appeal when the evidence is beyond doubt. Whether or not Troy pulled the trigger is irrelevant. He was undoubtedly at the scene, involved in another shooting the same night, fled the state- yeah, i guess he's completely innocent. I wonder if the prayer at the rally mentioned the man who lost his life that night. Get on with it and good riddance.
