Atlanta scenery beats the hell out of Cleveland, his hometown. "Atlanta women work out and look good before they even leave the house, while Cleveland women see the snow and grab another slice of pizza."
Jason's current project is a comedic variety show called "Cotton Pickin' Comedy," a hodge-podge of stand-up, improv and sketch comedy, and a little music. The troupe, made up of former Whole World players and other local comedy figures, has a couple of gigs under its belt with more to come this fall.
His favorite achievement so far is that his open-mic night, Sundays at 8 p.m. at Twisted Taco, has survived for more than a year. He credits its success to the many great and seasoned local comics who perform there to polish their acts.
But running the night at Twisted Taco has given him his worst experience in the world of comedy: "having to tell someone they can't get up on your stage anymore. If you can't make anyone laugh, even if it's just me, you're out."
Jason's goal is to make comedy his full-time job. "If it doesn't work out, then it'll be my hobby. I don't golf. If an accountant can succeed in comedy, then anything's possible."
