As one of the premiere bands to place Athens forever on the musical map, the B-52's unleashed a fresh new style and sound in the late '70s and produced some of the catchiest tunes to ever grace the airways, including 1989's "Love Shack." Now on tour to promote their first album with new material in 16 years, Funplex, the B-52's strut their stuff not too far from their old stomping grounds. With 11 fresh new songs and a plethora of old favorites, the B-52's prove once more that they're masters of their own unique pop sound. $20-$300. 8 p.m. Mable House Barnes Amphitheater, 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton. 770-819-7765. www.mablehouse.org.
