The Atlanta Opera opens its 30th season with Gaetano Donizetti's THE ELIXIR OF LOVE, the tale of a shy Italian farmer losing his love to a brawny soldier – until he drinks the aforementioned elixir, aka red wine. Directed by David Gately and conducted by Yoel Levi, the season opener continues Fri., OCT. 9, and stars Georgia native Leah Partridge as leading lady Adina, Bruce Sledge as shy guy Nemorino and Phillip Addis as Belcore. $25-$135.
