TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
Look, no dispute – CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS is an ornery fellow. The British-born author hates God(s), loathes Mother Teresa, despises monarchs and, most of all, farts in the general direction of totalitarians of all stripes. Most recently, he has railed against what he calls Islamic fascists in a temporary alliance with the neo-cons. The ex-Trotskyist and current Vanity Fair columnist comes to Atlanta on Wed., MAY 16, to tout his new anti-theist book, God Is Not Great and debate with Emory University religion professor Timothy Jackson. AJC editorial-page doyenne Cynthia Tucker moderates. RSVP requested. $8-$15. Reception: 6 p.m. Debate: 7 p.m. Margaret Mitchell House Visitors Center, 990 Peachtree St. 770-578-3502. www.gwtw.org.

A few billion like minds and maybe we can turn this thing around...I only wish I could snap my fingers, and take all the money dumped (wasted) into collection plates this weekend and spend it on wetland restoration!
