Special event: Air Sex Championships

Air guitar has become quite the spectator sport in recent years. Dudes dressed in '80s-glam getups live out rock-star fantasies by shredding an invisible guitar, with often amusing results. Given the vaguely sexual and specifically phallic nature of the guitar – cue cock rockers Kiss and Van Halen – it's only natural the air guitar phenomenon would metamorphose into the AIR SEX CHAMPIONSHIPS. Instead of playing an imaginary guitar, competitors combine athletic prowess with a flair for exhibitionism and simulate onstage sex. The championships leave their Austin lair, taking the show on the road in search of this year's Air Sex Champion in 15 U.S. cities.
