Special Event: The Great Urban Race

We can't think of a better way to put our Urban Explorer's Handbook into practice than by participating in Out of Hand Theater's THE GREAT URBAN RACE, which takes Atlantans through the paces of the city Sat., MARCH 29. Part of a nationally sponsored event that hits 18 other major U.S. cities, the race sends teams of two throughout the city on a scavenger hunt, solving clues and answering challenges as they work their way through the streets and hop on public transportation (Atlanta, meet MARTA; MARTA, Atlanta!). Locally, the grand prize is $300 and entry into the national championship competition Nov. 8 in Las Vegas, and its $10,000 really grand prize. Other prizes will be offered to top finishers.
