TEACH A MAN TO PHISH: Guitarist and vocalist Trey Anastasio (background) leads the group on a three-night stand of eclectic and free-form rock ’n’ roll.

All those years of hacky sacking are back in style this weekend, as Phish returns to Verizon Amphitheatre in Alpharetta to play a three-day psychedelic set. Trey Anastasio and Co. founded the band one snowy winter in Burlington, Vermont circa 1983, and have since delivered easy-listening bops that keep the people blazing on. Phish-heads are a strong fandom dedicated to the funky tunes, good vibes, and the mass camaraderie the music provides. With hits such as “Farmhouse,” “Sample In A Jar,” and “Waste,” the band has 15 albums under its belt, at least one of which contributed to your tie-dye and dreads phase. Have a hakuna-matata-kind-of-time and take a trip with Phish. Sorry, bruh: All three shows are sold out, but you know the drill.

SOLD OUT. 6:30 p.m.(doors). Fri., August 3, Sat., August 4, and Sun., August 5. Verizon Amphitheatre. 404-733-5010. vwainfo at livenation.com. www.vzwamp.com.
