A hodgepodge of crumbling bricks, graffiti, and saw-tooth roofing make up Pratt-Pullman Yard, one of Atlanta’s most historic and horror movie-inspiring settings. Gentrification will soon give it a facelift. But on Sunday, November 4, composer and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra bass player Michael Kurth will help breath life into the historic structure one last time with a soundtrack for Over//Under an exhibition dedicated to fallen street artist TOES (Harrison Keys). Inspired by Keys’ street tag and art, Kurth wrote “TOES,” the first of a three-movement musical composition titled “Everything Lasts Forever.” TOES, who died in 2016, left a lasting impression on Atlanta’s art scene by infusing dark humor and emotional complexity into countless paintings, drawings, and works of graffiti art. The evening will feature an array of the late artist’s paintings and works on paper, curated by his sister Sarah Keys. A limited edition of prints will be available, with all proceeds benefiting St. Jude’s Recovery Center, Inc.

Free (donations at the door). 6 p.m. Sun., Nov. 4. Pratt-Pullman Yard, 225 Rogers St. N.E. www.facebook.com/events/649809412080971.
