Critic’s Pick
Tues. Oct. 27
Jai’len Josey, Vinyl — Def Jam’s legacy of developing incredible R&B acts continues with Atlanta’s own Jai’len Josey. A singer-songwriter who vicariously saw breakout success through the release of Ari Lennox’s Platinum-certified hit song, “Pressure,” Jai’len Josey became a real-deal hitmaker at the start of the 2020s. Since then, she has successfully translated her behind-the-scenes success to a front-facing major-label career as one of Def Jam’s marquee young acts. Earlier this year, she fully arrived on the scene with her debut album “Serial Romantic,” which boasted contributions from R&B greats such as Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Leon Thomas, and more. Now, to close out the year, Jai’len Josey is hitting the road in support of her delicious debut, and the nine-date Serial Romantic Tour will feature support from LAYA and Zyah Belle. Although the Atlanta date at the culmination of the tour has technically sold out, resale tickets are still available at a reasonable price point! — joshua robinson
